Real Madrid have announced the signing of defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. The 30-year-old Netherlands international has agreed a deal until June 2030.
The La Liga club confirmed the transfer in a statement on July 5. Dumfries joins from Serie A champions Inter after the activation of his release clause, reported at just over £17 million.
He becomes Real Madrid’s fourth summer signing, following Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate. The full-back is expected to compete with Trent Alexander-Arnold for a starting place.
Inter paid tribute to the player’s five years at the club, during which he won two Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia trophies. Dumfries made 207 appearances, scoring 27 goals and providing 28 assists.
