In Episode 9 of CBS's 'Marshals,' Riley Green reprised his role as Garrett, performing his new single 'My Way' at a campfire in East Camp. The country star discussed how the song's themes of love and lost time mirror Kayce Dutton's grief over his late wife Monica, building on his acting debut in Episode 8 (part of our Riley Green on Marshals coverage).
Following his debut as Kayce's former SEAL teammate Garrett in Episode 8, Green's character joined the Marshals team at East Camp for a poignant campfire gathering in Episode 9. There, Garrett delivered a private performance of 'My Way,' released April 17, which Green chose for its lyrical fit with the emotional storyline. 'When I got the script for what the scene was, and when it was and what was going on around it, that song made a lot of sense to me,' Green said in an interview. 'I loved that, lyrically, it worked with what was going on'—particularly Kayce's struggles after losing Monica. Producers granted him freedom, asking only to 'play a little something,' which made him feel deeply involved.
