The Hulu series Rivals returned for its second season on May 15 with costumes that amplify the show's 1980s setting through bold tailoring and designer references. Costume designer Ray Holman drew from personal archives of magazines and high-end labels to outfit the returning cast.
The new season finds power players at rival TV networks Corinium and Venturer dressed for competition in sharper suits and bigger shoulder pads. Holman worked with brands including Dunhill, Mulberry, and Burberry to source authentic pieces while mixing them with everyday items for a naturalistic feel.
