It resumed at 5 p.m., but Marcelo Moretti's temporary departure stalled proceedings until his return around 8 p.m., wrapping up near 10 p.m.
Outside the stadium, a group of self-convened fans protested against Moretti, demanding his resignation amid the tension. Ultimately, 14 board members confirmed their resignations: Julio Lopardo, Andrés Terzano, Martín Cigna, Leandro Goroyesky, Carina Farías, Mateo Sagardoy, Uriel Barros, María Soledad Boufflet, Pablo García Lago, Javier Allievi, Marcelo Culotta, Belén Lugones, Leonardo Virardi, and Agustina Nordenstrom, plus alternate vocal Mariano Marino. The Presidency of the Assembly of Representatives will call an extraordinary meeting within 48 hours to appoint a Transitional Board and take temporary control.
This marks the second such vacuum this year; the previous one on September 16 was overturned by a court ruling. Moretti, facing allegations tied to an April incident involving $25,000, proclaimed himself 'completely innocent' and linked the club to Sur Finanzas, warning of a 'terminal' economic situation. Despite the turmoil, the Assembly for the 2023/2024 Balance on February 6, 2026, was confirmed.
