SpaceX readies Starship V3 for key test flight from Texas

SpaceX is preparing the 12th test flight of its Starship rocket, the first with the new V3 version. The launch from South Texas is scheduled for a 90-minute window starting at 3:30 p.m. PT on Thursday.

The company will send the rocket from its Starbase site. The booster is expected to fall into the Gulf of Mexico while the upper stage splashes down in the Indian Ocean. The test will last about an hour and include a satellite launch.
