On Friday, May 1, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded around 4 p.m. to a call from a woman reporting a possible shooting outside Chris Brown's residence in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Tarzana. The woman described the suspect as a Black male in his mid-thirties who allegedly fired at her vehicle, according to TMZ and KTLA reports. Officers interviewed both parties at the scene, where the suspect claimed the woman had refused to leave the area, argued with him, and drove over his foot, prompting him to shoot, TMZ reports added. No injuries occurred, and the woman was not hospitalized. The weapon was identified as a CO2-style handgun, not a traditional firearm, officials clarified. Markeith Cungious, 35, was arrested on suspicion of discharging a weapon, possession of a weapon, and assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation is ongoing, with no confirmed connection to Brown or indication he was home at the time. Brown's representatives have not commented. Brown recently announced his fourth child and is preparing for his album Brown, scheduled for release on May 8, and a joint tour with Usher launching June 26 at Empower Field at Mile High.
