Trial date set in Kelvin Evans Beyoncé hard drives theft case

A man accused of stealing hard drives containing unreleased music and tour plans from Beyoncé's team will face trial in Atlanta next week. Kelvin Evans, who pleaded not guilty earlier this year, is scheduled to appear on May 11.

The case against Evans is scheduled to proceed to trial on Monday, May 11. Prosecutors allege he broke into a rental car last summer and took suitcases holding sensitive materials tied to the singer's Cowboy Carter tour stop in the city.

Evans was arrested in connection with the July 2025 theft in Atlanta, where two suitcases containing hard drives with unreleased music, watermarked tracks, footage plans, and set lists were stolen from a vehicle belonging to members of Beyoncé's tour team. He entered a not guilty plea to felony and misdemeanor charges in January 2026 and has been out on bond.
