It ranked second at the daily box office, trailing Sony/Crunchyroll's Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, which earned $1.622 million. The original Twilight, directed by Catherine Hardwicke, opened on November 21, 2008, to a three-day domestic gross of $69.6 million, launching stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to global fame.
