Washington man arrested after claiming intruder killed wife

Kyle Cathcart was taken into custody on suspicion of murdering his wife Jodi after police determined no intruder had entered their home. He initially told officers that an attacker had stabbed them both during a home invasion in Covington, Washington.

Deputies responded to the couple's residence on May 1 after Cathcart called 911. He described fighting off a man in a dark hoodie who stabbed Jodi Cathcart and left him with minor wounds. Officers found no footage of anyone entering the home on the Ring camera, though a person matching Cathcart's description was seen leaving while wearing clothing inside out.
