Yamaha Motor Australia has revealed plans for the 2026 Ténéré Rally, a five-day GPS-guided adventure ride starting and ending in Batemans Bay in May. The event welcomes owners of all Yamaha Ténéré models and features scenic routes along the Sapphire Coast with stops in Bermagui, Eden, and Bega. Organized by RideADV, it emphasizes community and provides full support for participants.
The 2026 Yamaha Ténéré Rally, announced by Yamaha Motor Australia, offers adventure bike enthusiasts a structured yet flexible journey through the NSW South Coast's diverse terrain. Scheduled for May, the event begins and concludes in Batemans Bay, covering lush forests, ridgelines, and ocean vistas over five days. Participants follow GPS navigation at their own pace, with luggage transported separately for a 40-litre roll bag between overnight accommodations in Bermagui, Eden, and Bega.
RideADV, led by trail specialist Greg Yager, has designed the route to suit varying skill levels, providing options for standard trails or more demanding special paths each day. Beyond the riding, the rally fosters camaraderie among Ténéré owners, allowing them to exchange stories and compare setups. Yamaha legend Stephen Gall will join as a special guest, distributing signed copies of his autobiography, No Easy Way – The Stephen Gall Story.
Full support includes medical and 4WD backup, a Yamaha GP technician for mechanical aid, and Dunlop tyre assistance. The Aussie Adventure Bike TV team will document the event for an episode on Channel 7Mate. Priced at $1490 including GST, the package covers GPS routes, a welcome dinner in Batemans Bay, professional photography and video, and a goodie bag with an event polo shirt. Prizes will recognize the best bike and the longest distance traveled by participants.
Open to all Ténéré models regardless of year, the rally highlights the bike's adventure heritage in a supported coastal exploration. Further information and registration are available through RideADV.
