Zamfara adopts new sanitation strategies after milestone compliance

The Zamfara State Environmental Sanitation and Enforcement Agency announced plans to introduce a new strategic approach following high compliance during the July sanitation exercise in Gusau.

The chairman of the agency, Muhammad Zangina Abdullahi Yarin Gusau, made the disclosure after the exercise. He was represented by Permanent Member I Alhaji Sani Muhammad Mayanci.

The chairman noted that residents showed better understanding of sanitation importance, leading to the decision to strengthen the programme. Compliant residents received commendation for their role in the success.

Non-compliant individuals were urged to recognize the exercise's role in protecting public health, maintaining cleanliness, and preventing disease spread. The agency aims to sustain improvements across the state.
