Zaria defeated Tatum Paxley to retain the NXT Women's North American Championship in her first title defense at NXT Great American Bash 2026.
The match served as a rematch from early June when Zaria ended Paxley's reign as champion. Zaria gained control after an initial exchange and secured the victory with two F-5 maneuvers, the second following a series of strikes and a pin attempt that Paxley nearly escaped.
Prior to the event, Fightful Select reported that WWE officials had internally discussed a potential main roster call-up for Paxley.
The bout took place on The CW and featured several high-impact sequences including a superplex, spear, and sunset-flip powerbomb before Zaria's final pinfall.
