The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has reserved judgment on North West businessman Suliman Carrim’s application to postpone his testimony. The ruling will be delivered on a date still to be announced. Evidence leader Advocate Adila Hassim SC opposed the application and presented data on Carrim’s movements.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has extended the deadline for a Commission of Inquiry into the 2023 Manipur violence until November 20, 2026. The three-member panel must now submit its report on the ethnic clashes as soon as possible but no later than that date.
