Micro, small and medium enterprises in Coimbatore and Tiruppur have welcomed the Union Budget 2026's emphasis on their sector but expressed disappointment over the lack of measures to tackle raw material challenges and rising costs.

The Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) has officially launched a program to train entrepreneurs on improving their businesses and enabling economic upliftment. The Kenya Jobs and Economic Transformation (KJET) project targets 94 business groups across the country. The first phase of training began on November 10, 2025, in 10 counties.
