Kenyan boxer Potifus Odipo, known as Majembe, defeated Ferdinand Omondi, alias Mbavu Destroyer, in the fourth round of the Vurugu bout at Kasarani Indoor Arena on April 4. President William Ruto pledged government support for boxing and awarded Ksh1 million to the winner. Majembe stands to receive a car, motorbike and other perks.
