13-year-old boy beaten to death in south delhi forest

Police recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy from a forest in South Delhi on Tuesday evening. Two minors were arrested later that night. The suspects allegedly lured the victim and attacked him over a grudge from an earlier incident.

The incident began on Monday afternoon when the boy was playing cricket near a temple. The two accused approached him and started a quarrel by shoving him. Local residents stepped in to stop the fight at the time.

Later the same day the suspects allegedly persuaded the victim to go into the forest by claiming they needed to bury a dead dog. Once inside they choked him and one struck his face with a brick, according to police.

The boy’s father noticed him missing around 3 pm on Monday. After unsuccessful searches the family reported the case to police on Tuesday. Officers traced the suspects using technical evidence and took them into custody on Tuesday night.
