Kerala Police have booked around 300 people following an attack on Enforcement Directorate officials and security personnel after a raid linked to former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The search at the rented house near Bakery Junction began at 7:15 am and lasted over seven hours. As the team left in three official vehicles, the crowd surrounded them.

According to the FIR, the mob armed with sticks, stones and bricks shouted slogans calling for the officials to be killed. One officer suffered a hand injury and a driver was seriously hurt. Kerala Police and CRPF personnel trying to control the situation were also attacked. Damage to vehicles is estimated at around ₹3 lakh.

The raids form part of a money laundering probe into dealings between Vijayan's daughter Veena T and a sand mining company. Police are examining video footage and evidence.
