On Friday night, 64 employees at Hospital Posadas learned their contracts had been terminated. The move brings the total layoffs to more than 200 since Javier Milei took office.
Victoria Rodríguez, secretary general of CICOP-Posadas, stated that the list of non-renewals arrived without any official explanation from the hospital. The union leader announced upcoming industrial action and demanded the immediate reinstatement of those affected.
Hospital Posadas is a high-complexity facility that treats critical patients referred from across the country. FESPROSA representatives noted that staff reductions impair operating room and outpatient care capacity.
Unions called urgent assemblies and a joint action plan. They demand reinstatement of the 64 workers dismissed over the weekend and reversal of all layoffs implemented since the start of the current administration.
