Actor Adivi Sesh plans a solitary New Year's Eve in 2026, shooting the climax of his upcoming film 'Dacoit' on an isolated rocky mountain far from celebrations. The remote location offers no mobile network but promises clean air and natural energy. This unique setting underscores his dedication to the romantic action thriller.
Adivi Sesh, known for his roles in Telugu cinema, has revealed an unconventional way to usher in 2026. Instead of joining urban festivities, he will be deep in production for 'Dacoit', capturing the film's climactic sequence amid rugged terrain. Speaking to IANS, Sesh described the spot as "a rocky mountain in the middle of nowhere," emphasizing its isolation with no mobile coverage and enveloping darkness at night.
Despite the remoteness, Sesh views the experience positively. "What we’ll have instead is clean air, great AQI, and the raw energy of nature, an unforgettable way to step into the New Year," he shared. This solitude, he added, will foster a profound connection to the environment, enhancing the shoot's intensity.
'Dacoit' is a bilingual romantic action thriller filmed in Hindi and Telugu, co-written by Sesh and director Shaneil Deo. It stars Mrunal Thakur as the lead opposite Sesh, with Anurag Kashyap in a key role, alongside Prakash Raj, Sunil, Atul Kulkarni, Zayn Marie Khan, and Kamakshi Bhaskarla. The narrative follows an aggrieved convict's quest for revenge against his former lover, unfolding into a story of love, betrayal, and retribution. Currently in post-production, the film is scheduled for a pan-India release on March 19, 2026, including dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Reflecting on his career during the Telugu teaser launch in Hyderabad, Sesh admitted to juggling scripts for 'Dacoit' and 'G2', the sequel to 'Goodachari'. "This time, I thought, ‘why not do two passion projects at once?’ I sat down to work on the scripts for Dacoit and G2 at once. That was a mistake," he confessed with hindsight. For 'G2', he promised a festival-timed release, similar to 'Dacoit' aligning with Ugadi. Looking ahead, Sesh mentioned interest in other scripts where he would act without writing involvement.
This mountain-bound New Year highlights Sesh's commitment to immersive storytelling, trading city glamour for cinematic thrill.
