Advenica in Malmö secures 230 million kronor deal for secret encryption

Cybersecurity company Advenica in Malmö has landed a 230 million kronor order from a secret Swedish authority within total defense. The four-year deal covers a new encryption service for Sweden's most protected information. CEO Marie Bengtsson highlights the growing demand for such security.

Advenica, a cybersecurity firm based in Malmö, develops systems to protect Sweden's most sensitive secrets. The company has secured a 230 million kronor contract from an unidentified authority within total defense, as reported by Sydsvenskan. The deal involves an encryption service for the most protected information and spans four years.

The firm's facilities are located behind a heavy stone facade near Malmö opera. CEO Marie Bengtsson states that not even she has full insight into all projects. "The time of eternal peace is over", she told Sydsvenskan.

Bengtsson points to a shift in attitudes toward security. "In the past, people said 'that much security isn't needed', but no one says that anymore", she explained. The contract underscores the rising importance of cybersecurity in Sweden.
