AfD hits record high in new poll as union drops to 22 percent

The AfD has reached its highest-ever score of 29 percent in a new survey. The union falls to 22 percent, widening the gap further.

According to the survey by the INSA institute published on Saturday for “Bild am Sonntag”, the AfD would receive 29 percent of the vote. That is one point more than the previous week and the highest figure ever recorded in the Sunday trend.

The union loses one point and stands at 22 percent. This marks its worst result in more than four years. The gap between the AfD and the union now stands at seven percentage points.

The SPD falls to 12 percent. The Greens rise slightly to 14 percent, their best showing in two and a half years. The Left party is at 10 percent, while the FDP and BSW remain at three percent each and would not enter parliament.

The black-red coalition has lost nearly one in four voters since the February 2025 federal election.
