The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) office in Jacksonville, Florida, announced its weekly indoor track and field honors on Wednesday, focusing on competitions held at the Gainesville Indoor Classic and Invitational. Athletes from North Florida and Jacksonville universities dominated the awards, showcasing strong results in various events.
Jayvin Strouble of North Florida received the Men's Field Performer of the Week and Men's Freshman of the Week accolades. He secured victory in the high jump, achieving a height of 2.04 meters, equivalent to 6 feet 8.25 inches. This performance underscores his potential as a freshman competitor.
On the women's side, Savanna Chadic from Jacksonville earned the Women's Track Performer of the Week title. She claimed first place in the 400-meters with a personal best time of 54.81 seconds. Chadic also placed third in the 200-meters, clocking 24.61 seconds, demonstrating versatility in sprint events.
Ma'Kala Davis, also of Jacksonville, was named Women's Field Performer of the Week for her win in the triple jump. Her leap measured 12.61 meters, or 41 feet 4.50 inches, marking a season-best that positions her among the top 70 nationally in the event.
Aiden Arnold of North Florida took the Men's Track Performer of the Week honor after winning the mile race in 4:06.79. He additionally finished third in the 800-meters with a time of 1:53.35.
Nataly Walters from North Florida was selected as Women's Freshman of the Week. She set a new program record in the triple jump at 12.27 meters (40 feet 3.25 inches), earning second place. Walters also placed fourth in the long jump with a distance of 5.69 meters (18 feet 8 inches).
Other nominees included athletes from Central Arkansas, West Georgia, Bellarmine, Austin Peay, and additional competitors, reflecting competitive depth across ASUN programs. These awards recognize individual excellence amid the ongoing indoor season.
