BMW won the fourth round of the World Endurance Championship at Interlagos on Sunday (12). The driver trio of Kevin Magnussen, Raffaele Marciello and Dries Vanthoor secured the team's first victory in the Brazilian race.
BMW overcame rivals in a race marked by differing strategies in the Hypercar category. The number 15 car controlled the race after a tactical battle with the Alpine and crossed the finish line first.
The Ferrari of James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi and Alessandro Pier Guidi finished second, just over four seconds behind the winners. The Team JOTA Cadillac completed the podium with Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber and Sébastien Bourdais.
With the result, BMW moved into second place in the championship with 131 points, one behind Toyota. The sixth edition of the 6 Hours of São Paulo drew a record crowd of 84,960 people over three days.
