A caravan and a car caught fire at Ylseröd camping in Strömstad on Tuesday evening. The fire spread to nearby terrain but was quickly extinguished.
Rescue services were alerted to the site in the evening. Lars Justelius at rescue service Storgöteborg said the caravan was fully engulfed when they arrived.
The fire spread to the terrain but everything was extinguished by 21:00. Lars Justelius confirmed there was no longer any risk of spread.
Two people had inhaled smoke. An ambulance was sent to the site but no one needed to go to hospital. Police have filed a report regarding general dangerous negligence.
Isac Øren who works at the campsite said it is still smoking a little but it is much calmer now. Guests were advised to stay away.
