CCU appoints Marie Agathe Porte to its board

Chilean bottler and brewer CCU announced the addition of Marie Agathe Porte to its board, making her the fourth woman to join it. The French executive, based in Chile since 1990, brings expertise in corporate governance and digital transformation. The appointment occurred at the ordinary shareholders' meeting.

CCU, controlled by Quiñenco and Heineken, announced via communiqué the election of Marie Agathe Porte as a new board member. This addition strengthens female representation on the board, following predecessors such as María Gabriela Cadenas, Laura Novoa Vásquez, and Rosita Covarrubias Gatica.

Porte, a French national, has built a notable career in marketing, communications, and digital transformation processes. She currently serves on the boards of BNP Paribas Cardif Chile, the Instituto de Directores de Chile (IDDC), and Icare, where she chairs the Círculo de Marketing. She was CEO of BBDO from 2012 and has been named among Chile's 100 most influential female executives, as well as Executive of the Year by Capital magazine in 2016.

The appointment took place at the ordinary shareholders' meeting, where Pablo Granifo, Carlos Molina, Rodrigo Hinzpeter, Marc Gross, Rory Cullinan, Óscar Hasbun, Arthur Ribeiro, and Macario Valdés were also elected for three years.
