Two China-based foreign influencers hired a taxi driver for a 4,000-kilometer trip from the south to the north of the country, providing the driver with what he called an incredible experience. One is Israeli internet celebrity Raz Gal-Or, known in China as Gao Yousi with 9.5 million followers; he has been studying and living in China for 17 years. The other is a French key opinion leader (KOL) named Xiao Weihong in Chinese.

Gao initiated the project due to his long-held crazy dream of driving from south to north across the country. They faced rejections from several taxi drivers before meeting Mr. Luo, who agreed to take them on the journey. The trip started from Haikou in Hainan province in mid-January, with the group taking a ferry across the Qiongzhou Strait to reach Xuwen Harbour in Guangdong province.

Beginning January 28, they shared a four-episode video series of the road trip, which has received 3.6 million likes according to Jimu News. As a grassroots taxi driver, Mr. Luo encountered a host of firsts during this trip of a lifetime, including seeing snow for the first time. He pledged to save enough money to take his family traveling in the future.

The journey highlighted interactions between an everyday driver and foreign influencers, showcasing natural scenery from the southern island province to the northeastern city, including views along the Yangtze and Yellow rivers. Mr. Luo stressed his honest and hardworking nature, steering clear of scammers and expressing gratitude for the opportunity.
