Eksjö District Court convicted the man of assault, unlawful deprivation of liberty, unlawful threat and child peace violations. The woman was convicted of unlawful deprivation of liberty, harassment and child peace violations. Six children were subjected to various crimes according to the indictment.

Prosecutor Alexandra Ferm described the verdict as a form of redress for the children and young people. The couple, who denied the crimes, must pay a total of just over 665,000 kronor in damages to the children.

A girl referred to by SVT as Freja said it feels good and that she gets justice for all the years. The man’s lawyer Louise Kroon announced that the verdict will be appealed.
