Fuel prices for diesel and Super E10 in Germany have risen further. According to the ADAC, the average diesel price yesterday was 2.425 euros per litre, surpassing the previous record by more than 10 cents. Significant increases were also made today, on Easter Sunday.
Düsseldorf. Despite a federal government regulation limiting petrol price increases at pumps to once daily at noon since April 1, fuel prices continue to rise. The measure follows the Austrian model.
The ADAC reported that drivers paid an average of 2.425 euros per litre of diesel yesterday, exceeding the previous record by more than 10 cents. Super E10 cost 2.184 euros per litre on Saturday, a new yearly high and just 1.9 cents shy of the 2022 peak.
On this Easter Sunday, oil companies used the single daily adjustment slot: Super E10 rose by 7.1 cents to 2.239 euros per litre, and diesel by 7.3 cents to 2.488 euros. Prices are now higher than yesterday at the same time, with daily averages likely to increase further.
