A woman and her partner fell victim to a killing in Rinteln, Lower Saxony. A daughter found the lifeless bodies of her mother and the partner in the morning in their home in the Steinbergen district.
Police found traces at the scene indicating third-party involvement. In the evening, they arrested a 22-year-old in Stuhr near Bremen, Groß Mackenstedt district. Special forces were deployed.
During the investigations, a 24-year-old was also taken into provisional custody. He is suspected of being involved in the act, the Nienburg police announced. Both men are in police custody.
The suspects' relationship to the victims and the exact course of events remain unclear initially. Nienburg police continue the investigations.
