During the show, she performed 'Tu falta de querer' by Mon Laferte, continuing her tradition of local covers, such as AC/DC's 'Highway to Hell' in Australia or Scorpions' 'Wind of Change' in Germany.
The song, released on Mon Laferte vol. 1 (2015), is dedicated to César Ceja, the composer's ex-partner, who died on January 5, 2022, at age 40 from a heart attack in Veracruz, Mexico. Mon Laferte, based in Mexico since 2007, met Ceja around 2009 and collaborated with him on albums like Desechable (2011) and Tornasol (2013). After their six-year breakup, Laferte wrote the track inspired by heartbreak. In a 2016 live performance, she revealed: “I have a super sad song... They cheated on me... It gave me depression. I wanted to commit suicide”.
The song's origin traces to 2017, when Laferte wrote it during a depressive episode with friends, recording it on her phone. A friend uploaded it to YouTube, where it went viral, boosting her fame. In her recent album Femme Fatale, Laferte references Ceja in 'Veracruz': “I loved him so much I went crazy/ I wrote Tu Falta de Querer for him”.
Fans anticipated the cover after leaks from that afternoon's rehearsal at Coliseo de Ñuñoa. The tour, started November 5 in Singapore, has featured guests like Gwen Stefani and Billie Joe Armstrong. To ease returns, Santiago's Metro extended service until 00:30.
