Episode 4 of 'Like Water for Chocolate' premieres on March 8

The second season of the Mexican series 'Like Water for Chocolate,' produced by Salma Hayek, continues with its fourth episode titled 'Pan de muerto,' premiering at midnight on Sunday, March 8, Central Mexico time. The production adapts Laura Esquivel's novel and follows protagonist Tita's romantic dilemmas after her mother's death.

The series 'Like Water for Chocolate' reaches its second and final season, with a total of 12 episodes divided into six per season. Each chapter is named after a dish mentioned in Laura Esquivel's original novel, blending culinary elements into the dramatic plot.

Episode 4, 'Pan de muerto,' premieres on March 8 at 12:00 a.m. Central Mexico time. Previous episodes are already available: episode 1, 'Alegrías de Amaranto'; episode 2, 'Caldo de Colita de Res'; and episode 3, 'Champandongo.' Upcoming ones include episode 5, 'Frijoles gordos a la Tezcucana,' on March 15, and episode 6, 'Chiles en Nogada,' on March 22, closing the season.

In this episode, Tita returns to the Las Palomas hacienda with Dr. Brown to attend a party hosted by Rosaura, who introduces her second child. Tita prepares a champandongo in the kitchen, but tension arises upon seeing Pedro with Rosaura and little Esperanza. This leads to arguments, including Dr. Brown's confrontation with Tita over her closeness to her former love. Later, Tita and Pedro consummate their relationship in the kitchen, while their partners await them in other rooms. Dr. Brown pushes forward with wedding plans, though Tita feels guilty and questions the engagement. Pedro watches the conflict from afar, and Rosaura notices his distance, raising suspicions.

The series is available on the HBO Max streaming platform with a subscription, or via the HBO channel in pay-TV packages.
