The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 will be held in Jakarta from September to October with Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno as a venue. The tournament falls within the FIFA calendar allowing overseas players such as Jay Idzes and Emil Audero to join.
China has officially withdrawn from the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026. ASEAN Football announced that China decided not to participate in the inaugural tournament held this September.
FIFA immediately seeks a replacement. The new tournament is scheduled to take place from 23 September to 3 October 2026 in Jakarta.
The Ministry of Communication and Digital confirmed Indonesia as host via an Instagram post. Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno is included in the list of venues.
Because it falls within the FIFA International Window period, clubs are required to release players called up by the national team. This differs from the AFF Cup 2026 which takes place outside the FIFA calendar.
