The New York Giants worked out former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Daniel Ekuale on Monday as part of a group of 18 players.
Ekuale, who appeared in seven games for Pittsburgh in 2025, recorded six tackles and one quarterback hit before tearing his ACL in Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. He also served a five-game suspension for violating the league’s performance-enhancing substance policy while on injured reserve.
The workout signals that Ekuale has recovered and is eligible to play in 2026. He has not signed with the Giants as of the latest reports.
Pittsburgh is unlikely to pursue Ekuale again given its deep defensive line, which includes several players competing for limited roster spots.
