Hearts have written to Scottish football authorities expressing worry that a pitch invasion at Celtic Park set a troubling precedent by cutting short the final-day match.
Hearts released a statement on Wednesday condemning the events that ended their Scottish Premiership clash against Celtic early. Callum Osmand scored in stoppage time to give Celtic a 3-1 victory and seal the title on Saturday at Celtic Park. The Edinburgh club noted that although eight minutes of added time had been indicated, the referee ended the game before that period concluded after hundreds of home supporters entered the pitch.
