Huila's Barcinos sports club secured three first places in the first round of the Copa Fox Bike held in Melgar, Tolima, despite heavy rains and a muddy track. Huilense athletes shone in youth categories such as 2020 B, 2022 A, and 2022 B. The club praised their discipline and bravery.
Huila's Barcinos sports club had a strong showing in the first round of the Copa Fox Bike in Melgar, Tolima. Despite adverse weather from heavy rains, its athletes won gold medals in several youth categories.
First-place winners were Joel Andrés Aldana in 2020 B, Vargas Cortés in 2022 A, and Gael Chalá Cortés in 2022 B. "These three boys did a fantastic job, they fought for first place and achieved it," the club stated in a release.
Finalists included Jerónimo Artunduaga Ramón in 2023 A, Liam Camilo Rey Orozco in 2022 A, and Jarok David Rodríguez Díaz in 2021 B. Other participants were Joaquín Cortés Arias, Axel David Solano Salazar, Emiliano España Morales, Juan Antonio Sánchez, Liam Alejandro Perdomo, and Emmanuel Gutiérrez Pérez.
The club highlighted trainer Juan Carlos Murcia Argüello and family support. "For us, all our children are champions [...] putting Huila's name on high," the release concluded.
