Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced three new models in its Master Control Chronometre line, featuring integrated bracelets and a new High Precision Guarantee certification. The collection includes a date model, a date power reserve version, and a perpetual calendar, available in stainless steel and 18K pink gold. The watches draw inspiration from a 1973 design and emphasize real-world performance testing.
Jaeger-LeCoultre announced the Master Control Chronometre collection, reshaping its Master Control line with models that feature integrated cases and bracelets reminiscent of the 1973 Master Mariner Chronomètre. The lineup comprises a 38mm time-and-date watch, a 39mm date with power reserve indicator, and a 39mm perpetual calendar. These are offered in stainless steel with blue-gray gradient or blue dials, or in 18K pink gold with bronze sunray dials, except the power reserve model which is steel-only. All models carry water resistance to 50 meters and use concealed butterfly clasps on the bracelets. The brand introduced the High Precision Guarantee (HPG), replacing the previous 1,000 Hours Control. HPG testing simulates daily wear conditions, including shocks up to 50g, altitude changes to over 1,000 meters, temperatures from 18°C to 35°C, and multiple positions. Movements include the automatic Caliber 899 (70-hour power reserve, 4Hz) for the date model, in-house Caliber 738 for the power reserve, and Caliber 868 (COSC-certified) for the perpetual calendar, which handles adjustments until 2100. Pricing starts at €14,600 ($14,200; £12,700) for the steel date model, rising to €54,000 ($52,500; £47,000) for the pink gold version. The steel power reserve is €17,500 ($17,000; £15,300), and the steel perpetual calendar €47,100 ($45,700; £41,000), with pink gold perpetual pricing available on request.
