Chess.com has added legendary grandmaster Judit Polgar to its lineup of virtual coaches. Players can pick her avatar on pages like Game Review, puzzles, lessons, or the home page to access her voice and commentary. To choose her, users simply click the avatar, select Polgar, and hit the 'Choose Coach' button. They can also challenge her directly on the Play Coach page for sparring games with instant feedback during play. Polgar rose to prominence as a child prodigy in the 1980s, breaking records including Bobby Fischer's for the youngest grandmaster at the time. She became the top-ranked woman player, entering the world's top 10—a milestone unmatched by any other woman. Throughout her career, she defeated world champions such as Garry Kasparov, Viswanathan Anand, Anatoly Karpov, and Boris Spassky in notable attacking games, overcoming gender barriers to compete with the elite. Her story gained fresh attention through the Netflix documentary Queen of Chess, which reached the global top 10 and top five in 18 countries. Polgar's addition brings her distinctive style to enhance users' online chess experience on the platform.
