Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps Irjen Agus Suryonugroho attended the Polantas Menyapa event at Kopinan 24 Jam cafe in Jepara on Saturday afternoon, May 30, 2026.
The event was attended by hundreds of online motorcycle taxi drivers and members of the disabled community. The activity was initiated by Korlantas Polri and Satlantas Polres Jepara to build communication with the public.
Agus affirmed that the Polantas Menyapa dan Melayani program is a direct instruction from National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo. He expressed the desire for traffic police to be seen as friends and partners of the community.
Jepara Police Chief AKBP Hadi Kristanto explained that the event was designed to hear the complaints of ojol drivers directly. Agus also inspected the Jepara Police general kitchen and tried special vehicles belonging to the disabled community.
Ojol participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to speak without awkwardness to police officials.
