Karnataka forms committee to reform recruitment exams

The Karnataka government has set up a committee to review competitive examinations and recruitment processes.

The Competitive Examinations and Recruitment Reform Committee will be chaired by former Chief Secretary S.V. Ranganath. It includes former Chief Secretaries T.M. Vijayabhaskar and Vandita Sharma along with Financial Adviser to the Chief Minister L.K. Atheeq.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review preparations. He directed officials to ensure complete transparency in the recruitment process for over 70,000 posts.

The KPSC and KEA have scheduled exams to fill 36,773 posts within the next six months. Approximately 35 lakh candidates are expected to appear. Officials plan to adopt best practices from the UPSC.
