Kim Gordon releases 'Play Me' title track, announces additional 2026 tour dates

Sonic Youth co-founder Kim Gordon released the title track from her upcoming third solo album, Play Me (out March 13, 2026 via Matador), on March 10, along with a music video. Building on the album's January announcement and prior singles, she also revealed new North American and European tour dates.

The track "Play Me" is accompanied by a video directed by Barney Clay, set in a chaotic mall with censored faces and security footage, reflecting the album's themes of technocratic fascism.

Play Me, produced by frequent collaborator Justin Raisen, follows the January reveal of lead single "Not Today" and February's "DIRTY TECH." The 12-track album promises a more focused, beat-oriented sound.

Gordon has now expanded her 2026 tour itinerary with these dates, adding to previously announced shows:
- April 2: Los Angeles, CA - Sid The Cat
- April 11: Den Haag, NL - Rewire Festival
- April 12: Nantes, FR - Variations Festival
- April 14: London, UK - O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

- April 17: Paris, FR - Le Trianon
