On Friday, December 26, La Fiesta de mi Pueblo 2025 brought together nearly 2,000 artists in a parade celebrating the identity of Valle del Cauca's municipalities during the Cali Fair. Organized by the Valle del Cauca Governor's Office, the event featured music, dance, and gastronomy in a vibrant display. Governor Dilian Francisca Toro highlighted the region's cultural richness.
La Fiesta de mi Pueblo 2025, part of the 2025 Cali Fair, took place on December 26 in Cali, establishing itself as a key showcase of regional identity. Organized by the Valle del Cauca Governor's Office, the parade included 34 comparsas from Vallecaucano municipalities, one from a comuna, 20 from Cali, and the LGTBIQ+ community, totaling nearly 2,000 artists and three main floats.
Participants paraded with traditions, rhythms, and cultural expressions, highlighting the territorial diversity of Valle del Cauca. Governor Dilian Francisca Toro stated: “It is the show where the culture of each municipality is recognized, their traditions and gastronomy. That is our cultural wealth and the biodiversity we have as a region”.
Meanwhile, Culture Secretary Consuelo Bravo added: “In this party, music, dance, and the joy that characterize our Valle del Cauca and unite us as a region were represented”. The event, which defied a downpour, drew thousands of attendees and reaffirmed culture's role in regional integration, spotlighting each municipality's uniqueness to locals and visitors.
This parade is part of a fair expecting 108,000 visitors and a US$45 million economic boost, according to Cali’s Secretary of Economic Development estimates.
