In an official statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer SP Abimbola Adebisi on behalf of Commissioner of Police Olohundare Jimoh, the command described the incident as unlawful conduct capable of breaching public peace. "The suspect was arrested and detained for further investigation following the viral video in which he was seen driving recklessly, leading to a dangerous road crash and serious motor accident," the statement noted. "The act endangered his life and that of other innocent road users."

The case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough probing. If evidence supports culpability, Peller will face charges in court. "Social media must not be used as a platform to promote lawlessness or endanger lives," the statement urged.
