Lee Junho and Hong Hwa Yeon have been confirmed to star together in the upcoming tvN drama “Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea.” The announcement came on July 23 from the network.
tvN revealed the main cast lineup for the mysterious romantic comedy on July 23. The series follows a human rookie diplomat assigned to an embassy managing monsters in South Korea, where the ambassador turns out to be a dragon in disguise.
Lee Junho plays Cha Yeon, a dragon governing water and serving as head of the embassy. He is described as a solitary being who has remained on the land for over a thousand years, usually calm like water yet capable of surging violently.
Hong Hwa Yeon stars as Go Mi Woo, a former Asian Games archery gold medalist and human rookie diplomat. She becomes the only human member of the embassy, where human access is strictly prohibited.
The drama is directed by producing director Bae Hyun Jin of “Hierarchy” and written by Shin Ha Eun of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.” According to sources close to the agency, the power duo has fans already buzzing about the pairing.
