Lenovo unveils rollable gaming laptop concept at CES 2026

Lenovo has introduced the Legion Pro Rollable, a gaming laptop with an expandable display, at CES 2026. This concept features a screen that extends horizontally from 16 inches to up to 24 inches. The design aims to enhance gaming experiences for professionals and enthusiasts on the move.

At the Consumer Electronics Show in 2026, Lenovo showcased the Legion Pro Rollable concept, marking a novel approach to portable gaming hardware. Unlike previous models such as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable and ThinkPad Rollable XD, where screens expanded upward, this laptop's display rolls outward horizontally using motor-based technology.

The device employs Lenovo's PureSight OLED technology for high-quality color and contrast suitable for demanding games. It offers three display modes: a standard 16-inch size that can extend to 21.5 inches or a maximum of 24 inches, depending on available space. A dual-motor, tension-based chassis facilitates the expansion and retraction, incorporating low-friction materials to safeguard the OLED panel from wear during repeated cycles.

Targeted primarily at esports professionals, the Legion Pro Rollable allows users to carry a larger competitive screen for practice while traveling. Its internal configuration draws from the Legion Pro 7i model, featuring Intel Core Ultra processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards. While exact specifications for a potential consumer version remain unspecified, this setup indicates high-performance capabilities.

Lenovo also presented other gaming products at the event, including the Legion Go handheld PC, the versatile Legion 7a laptop, and updates to the Legion 5 and Legion LOQ series. This rollable concept underscores Lenovo's push toward innovative, adaptable displays in mobile computing, potentially benefiting gamers in titles requiring wide visibility, such as first-person shooters.
