DETROIT -- Yanni Gourde scored twice to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 6-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings on November 28, 2025, at Little Caesars Arena, marking Tampa Bay's sixth consecutive victory and their 15-7-2 record.
The Red Wings struck first at 11:29 of the first period when J.T. Compher scored on a pass from Michael Rasmussen for a 1-0 lead. Tampa Bay tied it on a power-play goal by Darren Raddysh at 17:07, blasting a slap shot from the point.
In the second period, Gage Goncalves gave the Lightning a 2-1 lead just 34 seconds in, stealing a loose puck in the slot. Gourde extended it to 3-1 at 3:01 by chipping in a rebound, but Rasmussen replied 12 seconds later to make it 3-2. Gourde scored again at 16:09 through traffic for a 4-2 advantage, and Dylan Larkin cut it to 4-3 at 18:26 with a wrist shot from a sharp angle.
The third period saw Jake Guentzel tip in a Raddysh shot at 4-on-4 to make it 5-3 at 12:47, and Brandon Hagel added an empty-net goal at 17:13 for the final score. Nikita Kucherov had two assists, extending his point streak to eight games.
"They came out flying in the first period, but we were able to make adjustments," Gourde said. "Our mentality has been defense first lately, and we’ve been executing defensively."
Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 33 shots for his sixth straight win, while John Gibson made 22 saves for Detroit (13-11-1), who have lost three in a row.
"Right now, we’re finding ourselves in holes," Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin said. "We’re just a little fragile and mistakes seem to be compounding."
Tampa Bay has outscored opponents 26-9 during the streak. Raddysh had a goal and two assists, his third three-point game.
