Ludvika swimming club launches swimming program for older children

Ludvika Simsällskap has introduced a new swimming program called Lär Dig Simma for children aged 9 to 15. The initiative follows rising demand from recently arrived parents.

The swimming club in Ludvika has seen a growing number of inquiries from parents wanting their children to learn to swim. This is linked to Hitachi's expansion in the municipality which has brought more newcomers.

Ki Eriksson, swimming coach, describes swimming ability as a life insurance policy and stresses its importance. The club received 35 000 kronor from LF Dalarnas Trygghetspris which reduced the summer swimming school fee.

The program targets older children lacking basic swimming skills. Eriksson notes the club has been overwhelmed by emails about the need.
