Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly toured natural gas facilities, a major highway project and a community park in Beheira on Saturday. He stressed Egypt’s efforts to draw foreign energy investment and improve infrastructure.
Madbouly inspected production sites in the Deepwater West Delta area run by Rashid Petroleum Company. He was joined by Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi and executives from Shell, Petronas and KUFPEC.
Badawi said phases 10 and 11 of the project were finished in 2024 and 2025. He added that the West Mina field is scheduled to start output in the fourth quarter of 2026 at an initial rate of 160 million cubic feet per day.
The prime minister also reviewed progress on the 800-kilometre International Coastal Road and visited Edku International Park, a facility funded by the European Union and GIZ that offers educational and recreational programmes for young people.
