Missing couple found dead in Puebla

Alexandro Tello and Karina Ruíz, parents from Instituto Oriente in Puebla, were found dead in Chignahuapan after disappearing last Thursday. Puebla's General State Prosecutor's Office confirmed the discovery and noted they were followed by alleged criminals before the crime. The victims had traveled to Tlaxcala to celebrate Karina's birthday.

Last Thursday, Alexandro Tello and Karina Ruíz, both parents associated with Instituto Oriente in Puebla, disappeared while in Tlaxcala. Puebla's General State Prosecutor's Office (FGE) launched a search involving 25 investigative acts, including interviews, review of surveillance cameras, and use of a license plate detector.

These efforts traced their vehicle, a white Jetta, which was located on Libramiento Instituto Politécnico, at the height of the SAT, in the La Trinidad Tepehitec area of Tlaxcala. The car had traveled along the Pista Nueva highway to Tlaxcala, reached the city center, and parked. From there, it was detected that the couple was followed by alleged criminals in a white truck with Tlaxcala plates.

Both vehicles proceeded to the El Molinito vial distributor, then along the Tlaxcala-Apizaco road and federal 119 to the vicinity of Tlaxco, Tlaxcala, around 11:10 a.m., the last known location where the victims were alive.

Later, the C5 reported the discovery of two lifeless bodies in the Rinconada Puebla area, postal code 73309, in Chignahuapan municipality. The bodies were semi-naked and face down.

María Luisa del Pilar Aparicio, head of the Investigation Desk for Missing Persons Crimes, stated via the FGE's social media that the victims had gone to Tlaxcala to celebrate Karina's birthday, where they were intercepted by the criminals who took their lives. As of now, the motive for the attack is unknown, though speculation arose about a possible vehicle robbery attempt, as the car was found abandoned.
