MLB Pipeline updates top 30 prospect rankings

MLB Pipeline has refreshed its team Top 30 prospect lists ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline. The updates reflect recent performance, graduations to the majors, injuries and draft signings across both leagues.

The American League East saw several notable risers. In the Blue Jays system, corner infielders Sean Keys and Charles McAdoo climbed into the top 12. The Orioles added 2025 draftee Caden Hunter at No. 11 after strong results in A ball.

In the National League, the Pirates highlighted depth behind the plate. Catchers Axiel Plaz, Easton Carmichael and Edgleen Perez now occupy three of the top eight spots. The Rockies promoted Cristian Arguelles to No. 6 after he hit .402 in the Arizona Complex League.

The Rays and Astros also reported strong gains. Tampa Bay shortstop Cooper Flemming rose to No. 4 while first baseman Taitn Gray reached No. 7. Houston catcher Jason Schiavone entered at No. 3 after posting a .266/.416/.556 line with 23 home runs.

These adjustments aim to give fans an accurate view of prospects who could be exchanged before the 6 p.m. ET deadline.
