Modo has confirmed the appointment of Örjan Lindmark as assistant coach. The 59-year-old will join the HockeyAllsvenskan club on August 1 with responsibility for the defensemen.
Lindmark will form the coaching staff alongside head coach Mikael Karlberg, assistant Morten Madsen and goaltending coach Michal Zajkowski. Madsen will focus primarily on forwards while Karlberg retains overall responsibility.
Sport director Henrik Gradin said the addition strengthens the team's development opportunities. "We feel that we want to add another person to give the team the best possible conditions," Gradin said.
Lindmark previously worked in Norway with Lillehammer last season and has earlier assistant coaching experience with Leksand, Mora and Västerås. He shares a long history with Karlberg from their playing days in Leksand and later coaching roles there.
The contract covers two seasons with the second year as an option. Lindmark expressed enthusiasm about the role, noting he joins a well-prepared group.
